City of Galva - Curbside Recycling

Curbside Recycling Program

In 1997, the City of Galva introduced a Curbside Recycling Program. We hope this will continue to help keep the environment clean and aid in keeping landfill costs as low as possible.

PICKUP SCHEDULE...

Recycling service is provided on the north side of the RR tracks on Mondays and the south side of the RR tracks on Wednesdays.

Items which can be collected for recycling include:

aluminum cans
metal cans
plastic milk and soda bottles
clear, brown and green glass

bundled newspapers
bundled magazines
No.1 and No.2 Plastic (usually identified by a small "1" or "2" stamping)

Please remember to rinse materials as needed to minimize any odors.

Place your recyclables in the recycling bin and place it near your garbage can on the curbside. Remember to remove your empty bins and garbage cans from the curbside at the end of the collection day.
